Alfa 11 - Kennel - Rajesh Bhatt

For those who have seen our last blog, it is a continuation of a horror story of Alfa 11 and Rajesh Bhatt. Those who have not please visit the last blog http://welostourdogatalfa11.blogspot.com.

Tido at home

In the last blog, we narrated how we lost our beloved pet Tido at Alfa 11, a dog kennel in Palam Vihar run by Rajesh Bhatt. In this blog we share with you with more detail of Alfa 11 so that your dog does not become another Tido.

At this moment there are forty to fifty dogs in Alfa 11. For all of them there are only five to six employees. Among the employees, one is a cook and rest of them are so called trainers.

Laxmi Narayan - A dog trainer or a security guard??
Meet Laxmi Narayan Tanwar , who was in charge of Tido’s training, is three months old at Alfa 11. Prior to Alfa 11 he was a security guard in some hotel. He simply did not have any kind of relevant qualification or experience to take care of pet, let alone taking charge of a pedigree Golden Retriever! We got this information while he was getting interrogated yesterday by the local administration at Kapashera. Well it surely tells you the profiles team Rajesh Bhatt and Alfa 11!

A view of the running AC that never works through open window

Premium boarding facility: 15/15room,20 dogs,3 beds

The infrastructure and the boarding facility in Alfa 11 is absolutely sub standard. In a 15/15 room, where only 3-4 dogs are supposed to be kept, there were 15-20 dogs along with 3 other trainers and their beds. One little air conditioner in the room never seems to work and are non functional throughout the year, as stated by the staff when interrogated.

There is no in house doctor in one the best kennels of this city! The nearest doctor or Alfa 11 preferred doctor , Dr. Josan in Sector 23 market is about half an hour away by car. Rajesh Bhatt and his personal car is only available for some days of a month. Without any vehicle in the farm, you can imagine what happens in case of any emergency. When Tido was struggling for breath, according to trainer Laxmi, Rajesh Bhatt was not present in the kennel. So, it is highly possible that there was a delay in taking him to the veterinary doctor.

We also came to know about great training methodologies at Alfa 11. For a weight reducing training, it is very simple: Feed the dog only one time instead of two and chase him down with two other agile dogs. And by the way, this simple training comes at a small price of Rs. 9000 to 12,000 a month, and sometimes death of your pet provided free. We also came to know yesterday from Rajesh Bhatt that it is usual for a dog to have cardiac arrest after running and doing exercises, specially in a sprawling facility like Alfa 11!

Exactly a year before, Tamanna Kanwar of Malibu Town, Gurgaon, lost Ballu, their five year old St Bernard at Alfa 11 on 22nd April, 2010. Again Rajesh Bhatt claimed that it was a cardiac arrest, and not heat stroke due to poor facility at Alfa 11. Tamanna had insisted on a comfortable AC boarding for Ballu but he only got Delhi heat. And death was the end game, as played by Rajesh Bhatt and his Alfa 11.

Friends, this kennel Alfa 11 is a premium boarding facility and a chic spa as claimed by an article written in a leading daily this morning. According the article, it is an upscale boarding . If you check on the net, courtesy his friends, website and marketing agents, it is Pets paradise.

Friends, it is a five star hotel or resort where there are boarders die periodically. Should you let a facility like this to run anymore? Should a money making monster like Rajesh Bhatt be allowed to go scot free?

Please join us to save these innocent pets who can’t even speak what they go through at Alfa 11. We can. If you want to reach me or share your experiences, please feel free to write to me at: anjanahalder@hotmail.com or anjanahalder11@gmail.com.
